Tech Tip Theme
For this week's Tech Tip, I chose to use my old storybook site as an example. When I was originally telling my story, I wanted to go for a creepy looking theme in order to make it more realistic, but yet be feminine since I was going to write my story from a woman's perspective. As a result, I chose to go with this green background with a black tree with some cherry blossom style flowers on it.

Tech Tip: Blog Profile
For this tech tip, the only change I made was that I removed my name from posts. I wanted to try it out since my fellow students will be able to see my name on the main blog page anyways. I have not thought too much about my online identity. I try to keep myself from posting too many things online because I feel like it's a little unsafe to post so much about yourself on the Internet where everyone can access your information.
I may think about it a little more as I graduate and look for jobs, but there is so little of my information out there at the moment that I don't really have to worry. The key ingredients of my online identity shall just be my name, birthday, and maybe some social networking sites like Facebook or LinkedIn that will help me look for jobs!

Google Timer Tech Tip
When I'm working, I really like to establish time limits for myself. I feel like this Google timer would be useful, but I'm used to using my phone for alarms. For example, if I have 5 assignments due in a day, I guesstimate how long I think it would take me to finish them. Then I set a timer on my phone to make sure I meet that deadline so that I get everything done in a timely manner. I think this timer will be really useful for people who do the same.
I also set time limits for my "free time." When I'm studying, I limit myself to 30 minutes of free time to just relax and browse Facebook, YouTube, or Tumblr because it is very easy to get off track and then I can end up browsing for an hour without even realizing it.
Even if I don't make my "deadlines" sometimes, the timer helps me stay on track! :)
Flying ball cat. That is all.

Tech Tip: Weather Widget
Hi there, my wonderful readers. Just to let everyone know, I have added a weather widget to my blog! Now, we can converse about the weather if you would like, but just taking a glance at the current weather on the right side bar of my blog. :)
My favorite weather is late spring weather where it's not too hot but not too cold, with sunny, blue skies and some clouds for extra flavor. My least favorite weather is when it is icy just because it makes it harder for me to get around and do the things that I have to do. If I were not busy, I think I would like all types of weather just because each one has its own beauty.

Introduction: Hi! (Tech Tip: Embedded Youtube)
My name is Phoi Nguyen, but I go by Michelle. People have always questioned the origin of Michelle, but even I am not too sure where it came from since it's not my middle name or on my birth certificate or anything. To be honest, my parents have called me Michelle instead of Phoi since I was a wee baby. Hm.. weird right?
I am currently a Junior at OU. This is the beginning of my 3rd year here! I definitely like Norman more than Tulsa since it's closer to OKC. I just like OKC because there are more things to do there than in Tulsa. Going to college was a rough transition for me because I came from a pretty sheltered family, but I'm used to everything at this point! I am majoring in Biology, Pre-Med with a minor in Psychology. If all goes smoothly, I will graduate in the Spring of 2017! Next spring, I will be taking the MCAT so it will be a busy year as I will be making preparations to study for that test as well as applying to medical schools. Last semester, in order to make some new friends, I joined a small asian interest sorority called Phi Delta Alpha. Here are my beautiful sisters!
If you have read my "Favorite Places" post earlier, you will have already figured out that I was born in Vietnam! I came to the States when I was around fours years old and I have visited once or twice since then. I hope to visit Vietnam again soon to see how much the country has changed since has been around eight years since I last visited.
I enjoy reading, watching movies/TV shows, eating (I'm definitely someone who lives to eat, not the other way around), and singing! My passion for reading has dwindled a bit since the beginning of college because of the amount of work piled on me doesn't let me curl up with a good book, but I'm hoping on remedying that this year. If you have any good recommendations, let me know! I also love animals, especially when the animals are little baby animals. That's when they are the cutest!
I am an only child so it gets pretty lonely, but luckily I have my dog to keep me company. He's a miniature pinscher and I don't have a picture of him since I'm not too good with cameras and the only pictures I have of him are from when he was a few months old. He turned six years old this summer. But this one will suffice since he looks like this.
